VOLUNTEER AT A-FEST
A-Fest relies on volunteers.
From welcoming visitors to supporting activities and helping the day run smoothly, volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and be part of something special.
What volunteering involves
Volunteer roles vary and may include stewarding, supporting activity areas, helping with wayfinding, assisting performers or stallholders, and being a friendly point of contact for festival-goers. All volunteers are briefed in advance and supported by the event team on the day.
Who can volunteer?
We welcome volunteers from the local community, including young people (with appropriate supervision), students, and adults.
Volunteering is open to anyone who is friendly, reliable, and keen to support a family-friendly community event.
All volunteers MUST hold a valid, basic DBS certificate due to the nature of the event. We are unable to support with costs or fees of obtaining a DBS certificate.
Why volunteer at A-Fest
Volunteering at A-Fest is a rewarding experience. You’ll meet new people, gain experience supporting a large public event, and play a direct role in creating a positive day for thousands of local families. Volunteers will be provided with food, drink and travel cost support.
